Cullen Baptist Church buildings

Celebrating 100 years of being a ‘constant influence in a changing world’, Cullen Baptist Church held Homecoming on September 27, 2015.  In spite of the rainy day, members and former members packed the Church and shared stories of growing up in Cullen.  There was great music by John Adams, Gloria Adams, Kent Scruggs, and Gregg Scruggs.  Former Pastor Ray Camp delivered the message.  Jane Edwards shared memories of church classes, Christmas programs, and the many people that influenced her life at Cullen.  Many in the congregation also shared memories of Cullen.  Replicas, constructed by Joe Mann, of buildings around Cullen were on display and loaned by Boots and Jan Mann. Everyone enjoyed the delicious lunch at the Fire House across the street.  The meal was given in memory of longtime member, Mrs. Iva Scruggs, by Kent and Felicia Scruggs.

CBC Collecting Items for Disaster Relief

Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 | Permalink

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.  You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.  This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”  – 2 Corinthians 9:10-12

Above all, we know that God loves and cares for people!  Therefore, He has equipped His people so that they may bless others generously.  Last week CBC began to collect disaster relief items for victims of Hurricane Sandy.  Some very generous people have donated toward this cause.  However, there have been others who have expressed a desire to contribute but could not meet today’s deadline.  Therefore, we are extending the time frame to donate through November 13, 2012.  The generous donations will be delivered to God’s Pit Crew in Danville, VA the following day.  If you would still like to donate, please contact Pastor Robert Perrin (434-609-1168) to coordinate drop off times.

FYI…for specific items click on the following link and scroll down to the “Items found in Each bucket”.

May the Lord of the harvest bless you!

The members of Cullen Baptist Church were blessed to host a FREE Fall Festival fun day to the community.  We had bouncy castles, games, hot dogs and, among other things, apple/pumkin’ chunkin’.  It was a wonderful day of sunshine and joy!  It is our prayer that all who came out left with something to carry and a blessing!  God Bless to all!
